What can your video be about?
Your video is an opportunity to share why you’re passionate about our oceans, the issues your care most about and the importance of coexisting with them. Whether you’re a marine conservationist, pursuing a career in ocean advocacy, or simply an ocean enthusiast, this is a chance to tell your story.
What we’re looking for.
Your entry can be as simple or as creative as you like. It’s not about the most polished or best edited video, it’s about your message on why we need to coexist with our oceans that’s most important.
Your video should be 2-3 minutes in length and a maximum file size of 360mb.
Entries close 28 February 2026 at 5pm GMT.

How do we select a winner?
Our team review each entry and score videos based on the following…
1. Impact & Engagement
Share a message that makes people stop and think about why our oceans matter.
Does your message make us care, reflect, or even take action?
2. Originality & Authenticity
Bring your own voice and perspective — tell us why the oceans matter to you, or why you’re passionate about the issues they face.
Be genuine. We’re looking for an authentic message about why we need to coexist with our oceans.
3. Relevance
Keep your message tied to the theme of coexisting with our oceans.
Show us how you understand our connection with the sea, and why living in harmony with our oceans and marine life is so important.
Popular Video Topics
Copyrighted or licensed music should be avoided, whether a track in it’s entirety or just a clip. Video submission are hosted via Vimeo and YouTube, so any licensed music can result in the video being muted or blocked…they’re very strict! To avoid this, please use royalty free music.
Share an experience that sparked your love for the ocean or deepened your appreciation for marine life. What drives you to care for the seas? Perhaps it was a memorable encounter with wildlife or a transformative project you participated in.
Are you involved in marine research, studying marine biology, or taking part in conservation efforts? Talk about the projects you’re working on or the studies you’re pursuing, and explain how they help protect the oceans.
Dreaming of a career in marine science, ocean advocacy, or environmental law? This is your chance to share your goals and explain how this competition aligns with your future in marine conservation.
Raise awareness about important issues like plastic pollution, overfishing, or climate change. Explain how these challenges impact the oceans and why action is needed.
