Our Mission

Coexist is a marine conservation initiative dedicated to protecting our oceans through science, education, and community action.

Science

We work alongside leading researchers, educators and partner organisations, supporting field-based conservation efforts around the world.

Education

Providing education and real-world experience in the field, Coexist empowers young people to become informed stewards of the marine environment.

Community Action

We raise awareness about marine issues through social media and education, and support the people and projects working to make a difference for our oceans.

Inspiring the Next Generation

Each year we take this mission a step further through our annual WHYCOEXIST competition. The winners are given a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel to a pristine marine ecosystem in the Seychelles, where they learn to dive, explore vibrant coral reefs, and witness first-hand the beauty and fragility of our oceans.

During their time in the Seychelles, participants work alongside leading marine research scientists, gaining hands-on knowledge in conservation, biodiversity, and ocean health. This immersive experience is designed to ignite passion, build confidence, and inspire the next generation of ocean advocates.
