Supporting Local Action with Global Potential

Co-Exist Projects is proud to announce a new partnership with Ocean Angel, a marine conservation initiative based in Tenerife that is demonstrating how local action can create meaningful environmental change.

Founded on the belief that individuals can make a measurable difference, Ocean Angel has already removed 9,004.10 kilograms of marine debris from the island’s coastline and surrounding waters through regular beach and underwater clean-up activities. Beyond removing waste, the initiative has inspired local communities to take an active role in protecting the marine environment.

Recognising the potential of this model, Co-Exist Projects will work alongside Ocean Angel to help strengthen the organisation’s long-term capacity and expand its reach. The partnership will focus on improving communications, developing sustainable fundraising, increasing public engagement and supporting organisational growth through initiatives such as the ImpactIQ fundraising platform.

The long-term vision extends beyond Tenerife. By building a stronger organisational foundation, Ocean Angel will be better placed to inspire and support others to establish similar initiatives in their own coastal communities. Rather than relying on a single project, the aim is to encourage a growing network of “Ocean Angels” working independently but united by a shared mission to protect the marine environment.

Co-Exist Projects believes that lasting conservation is achieved by empowering passionate local leaders with the tools, visibility and resources they need to succeed. By helping successful community-led initiatives grow and replicate, the impact of individual action can be multiplied far beyond a single location.

Together, Co-Exist Projects and Ocean Angel hope to demonstrate how one person’s commitment can inspire a movement capable of protecting coastlines around the world.
