Our 2025 competition was the hardest to judge to date.Â
We were humbled by the entries that poured in from around the world, each offering unique and thoughtful perspectives on why we need to coexist with our oceans.
After much deliberation, Daisy, from the UK, was selected as our winner. She and her partner, Seb, travelled to this breath-taking corner of the Seychelles, where they spent eight unforgettable days immersed in a near-pristine marine environment.
They explored vibrant coral reefs, encountered diverse marine life, and gained hands-on insight into the fieldwork being conducted by leading marine scientists.
I just have no words. Thank you so so so much for such an incredible experience. I can’t wait to share everything with you! We have just had the best time.
Everyone took care of us so so well, underwater and above ground, and we all had so much fun with the guys – professionals through and through. Damien was an amazing and patient teacher for Seb’s open water course.
The island team were so incredibly kind also, the spirit of the islands is in all of them and you can tell that the manager is taking such good care of the place and the people.
It was so so cool to chat with the scientists as well. Learning about their research projects has been such a highlight- they are all so passionate and motivated by what they are collectively working towards, it’s truly inspiring!!
We have left the island with so much food for thought and a large space in our heart.
Thank you again for giving us such incredible opportunity, I truly can’t describe the underwater world just yet but it was unlike anything I could have ever imagined or dreamed of!!!!
Such vibrance and life, with so much to see and take in. Every dive so unique and was like stepping into a new world!
This year, Daisy worked on a script with us and narrated the video to provide a personal take on what the trip meant to her.
