About The Litterboom Project
We’re thrilled to announce a collaboration with The Litterboom Project.
The Litterboom Project, a South African NPO, is tackling plastic pollution head-on by stopping it at the source—our rivers.
80% of marine plastic pollution comes from river systems. Using innovative floating booms, The Litterboom Project collects and recycles over 1 ton of plastic daily and has intercepted over 2,500,000 kgs of environmental waste from polluting our seas!
Coexist Projects recently visited their facilities and are proud to showcase their work in action.

Why we're supporting the Plastic Neutral Initiative
Plastic pollution impacts every corner of our planet—from our oceans and communities to our food chain.
On average, a person uses approximately 4 kg of plastic per month, totalling around 48 kg per year.
The Plastic Neutral Campaign operates on a powerful principle: for every unit of plastic used, the equivalent amount of plastic is removed from the environment.
This ensures that your support has a tangible impact on reducing plastic pollution.
How can YOU become plastic neutral?
Plastic neutrality allows individuals and organisations to take responsibility for the plastic waste they generate.
For every unit of plastic used, Plastic Neutral removes the equivalent from the rivers and oceans to achieve a net neutral plastic footprint on the planet.
Your donation goes directly to the Plastic Neutral interception teams. The River Wardens work tirelessly to ensure that ALL pollution that makes its way into our beautiful rivers and oceans is removed.
Additionally, donations support local communities, creates sustainable jobs, and transforms plastic waste into unique household products.
You can donate a monthly or annual amount and all participants receive a digital certificate to show you’re helping to tackle plastic pollution.
Monthly Amount = $4
Annual Amount = $45
Every contribution counts towards intercepting plastic before it reaches our oceans to improve the health of our rivers and oceans.
